Dania Beach (Dania until 1998) is a city in Broward County, Florida, United States. It is part of the Miami metropolitan area. As of the 2020 census, the city's population was 31,723. Dania Beach is home to Dania Pointe, a shopping and entertainment center in its downtown district. Dania Beach is the location of one of the largest jai alai frontons in the United States, The Casino @ Dania Beach (Dania Jai Alai). It was formerly the location for two amusement centers; one named Boomers! (formerly Grand Prix Race-O-Rama), which housed the Dania Beach Hurricane roller coaster, and the other being Pirates World amusement park, which was featured in Barry Mahon's Thumbelina. It is also home to the International Game Fish Association Hall of Fame and Museum.
Deerfield Beach is a city in Broward County, Florida, United States. Located 40 miles (64 km) north of Miami, it is a principal city in the Miami metropolitan area in South Florida, which was home to 6.14 million people in 2020. As of the 2020 census, the population was 86,859, making it the tenth-largest city in Broward County and the 13th-largest city in the Miami metropolitan area. The city is bound by the Hillsboro River and Boca Raton to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the east, Coconut Creek to the west and Pompano Beach to the south. The city's contemporary history dates back to the late 19th century with the construction of the Florida East Coast Railway in 1896, built by Henry Flagler. The city's first post office was established in 1898, and on June 11, 1925, the city was incorporated as the Town of Deerfield. The city grew very rapidly in the mid-20th century, particularly between 1950 and 1980, as new neighborhoods were built. The city has continued to grow since, and as of 2024 has an estimated population of 90,507. The city is known for its beaches and pier on Deerfield Beach Island, as well as its parks, particularly the botanical gardens of the Deerfield Beach Arboretum and Quiet Waters Park.

Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park is a Florida State Park located in Dania Beach, Florida off Florida State Road A1A. The park is named for late civil rights activists Von Mizell and Eula Johnson, who first pressured Broward County (for years) to have at least one beach for African Americans, then led wade-ins in Ft. Lauderdale in 1961 that led to desegregation of the county's beaches the following year. The park's former namesake, John U. Lloyd, served as Broward County Attorney for over 30 years and was instrumental in obtaining the land for the park.
